This site is dedicated to the memory of Garry Rivera.
Garry Rivera was born November 29th, 1959 and left us much too soon on May 8th, 2013. Known for being a hard working man and devoted father, he leaves behind five beautiful children. Marce, Nick, Christian, Dion and Gianna. Please join us for his burial service (hosted by Chris Rivera) on Wednesday May 15th at 2:00 PM at the Broomfield County Commons Cemetary. 12801 Sheridan Blvd., Broomfield, CO 80020. The service will be graveside, but the church is allowing for overflow parking as there is limited space at the cemetery. Please make sure you wear comfortable shoes as the church parking lot is a little bit of a walk.
Please also join us on Wednesday May 22nd, 2013 at 2:00PM at St. Mark Parish Center for a celebration of Garry's life, hosted by Irene Rivera and family. 3141 W. 96th Ave. Westminster, CO.

Thoughts
So sorry for your loss - Nick, thanks for sending me the text letting me know of your dad's passing. I have a lot of great memories of Garry - years of playing softball, flag football and a season or two of basketball (all while going to North Metro Church) I also remember our trip to Sturgis and helping lay sod at the house. Garry always made me laugh - like others have said he was an awesome mechanic and always made time for friends. I remember going to lunch with the family (about 12 years ago) and one of the kids was acting up a little (but not bad) and Garry said "knock it off or I'll take you back to the orphanage" the look on the waitress face was priceless... he was such a reliable guy - he'll be missed by all. - Mike Stanford

Rivera family, Our hearts are with you in this time of sorrow. You are in our prayers, words can not even express our deepest sympathy. Garry was such a good person, his smile could light up a room, and he was a good person, a good friend, a wonderful father, and a very hard worker. He always reached out to others and would help anyone who needed it. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

Garry so reminded Tony and me of Uncle Manuel. Tony said "Garry worked as hard as Manuel. Manuel must have had one big project that he was working on in heaven -- so big he needed Garry to help him." They were both hard working, good men -- Like Father Like Son. Ttony & Theresa Montoya

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a good, hardworking and kind man. Unfortunately I did not know Garry very long. I knew him through his son Nick who dates my niece. I found out he was a mechanic and asked Nick if he would work on my car. He would come by my home, give me a hug, we’d chat a bit and he’d leave me the Subaru so I would have “wheels” to get around. He was more than fair with the work he performed on my vehicle. I really trusted him and so very sad to hear that he is not here with us anymore. Nick, I know you were very close with your father and you will always have your memories to comfort you. Let me know if there is anything you need me to do. May God Bless You And Keep You Always!

I knew Garry through his son Nick. He definitely will be missed as he really was a hard working and kind man. My prayers are with the family and especially Nick who I knew was very close to him. God Bless you all.
